Andrew Wreggitt

ANDREW WREGGITT is the award-winning writer of 16 movies for television including The Phantoms, The Jack Layton Story, Mayer Thorpe, Survival Code, Sticks and Stones, The Don Cherry Story, One Dead Indian, Shades of Black and Corner Gas - The Movie. He has won three Canadian Screen/Gemini awards for best writing and been nominated on four other occasions. He’s won six Alberta Motion Picture Industry awards for writing and three Writers Guild of Canada Awards. His movie The Phantoms won the International Emmy Award for best
movie in 2014. In hour long series television Andrew’s credits include Destiny Ridge, North of 60, Black Harbour, Tom Stone, Flashpoint, Heartland and Pure. Andrew is also a playwright (The Wild Guys) and the author of five published books of poetry. He lives just outside of Calgary.
